Evangelia (Eva) earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Crete, Greece, specialising in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. She continued her studies at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, where she completed her Master’s degree in Translational Physiology and Pharmacology in 2026.

During her academic training, Eva gained research experience in molecular biology, cancer biology, immunology, and inflammation through research projects in Greece, Norway, and Sweden.

Eva joined Vacara AB after completing her Master’s thesis in 2026, where she investigated antigen-specific immunotherapeutic approaches for Rheumatoid arthritis using humanized preclinical models. She continues working as a Research Associate, contributing to preclinical studies for tolerogenic vaccine development, as well as the production and purification of biomolecules supporting therapeutic development.
